Scott Willett, Ph. D.

Scott is an organizational, team, and leadership performance consultant, advisor, and coach, committed to improving the world through the power of leaders and teams. He coaches and works closely with numerous CEOs, senior executives, and leadership teams around the world. His broad portfolio of clients ranges from Fortune 15 to start-ups, from higher-education to NGOs, from biotech to manufacturing, and dozens of private equity portfolio companies.

Expertise

Scott specializes in leadership performance, team optimization, organizational climate change, and aligning people and organizations with strategy. His career has spanned over twenty-five years across a wide range of organizations, industries, and geographies, working with all levels of management, from the C-suite to the frontline, through significant challenges and transformations.

Scott is a Principal and founder of Pennington Human Dynamics, Inc., a global organizational effectiveness consultancy. Prior to Pennington, he served as the Global Head of Organizational Effectiveness at Prudential Financial. Before joining Prudential, he led Organizational Effectiveness Consulting and Enterprise Leadership Development at the Hartford Financial Services Group. He joined The Hartford from Princeton University, where he built and led Princeton’s first ever Learning and Organization Development function. Prior to Princeton, he held organization development consulting roles within Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Pharmaceutical Research Institute, and within IBM’s Global Executive and Organization Capability Group during the internet revolution in the mid-1990’s. Prior to IBM, he held several industrial, quality, and manufacturing engineering positions.

Scott serves as adjunct faculty at the internationally ranked Thunderbird School of Global Management, and at the University of Connecticut School of Business, teaching custom executive development programs and MBA courses in leadership and business transformation. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Management from Capella University, as well as an MBA, an MS in Management Systems, and a BS in Interdisciplinary Engineering & Management from Clarkson University.
