Ricardo Sookdeo

Previously, he led the Talent, Leadership and Culture Centre of Excellence for Johnson Matthey in the UK. Before that, he worked in the digital and leadership development teams at IKEA and was Head of HR for Nordea Wholesale Bank, based in Sweden. He helped to lead the cultural and leadership transformation of Nordea to be a more purpose-driven organization. Ricardo was also the Global Head of Talent, Leadership and Culture at A.P. Moller Maersk, based in Denmark. He has worked at ING Group, in the Strategy and M&A team and in leadership & organization development. He has worked in multiple locations around the world, including the US, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Brazil, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK. He has also worked as a reporter for Fortune Magazine, and a consultant.

Ricardo has worked with many large multinational companies to enable strategies by building organization capabilities to be more innovative and competitive. He has led the designed and implementation of many top executive development programs, shaped the learning strategies and cultural roadmap to drive organization transformations. He is a thought leader on succession management, diversity & inclusion, and leadership development. He is experienced executive coach and facilitator of leadership and cultural transformation.

Qualifications

  • Ricardo received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in the US and has also studied at Harvard, Kellogg, and Wharton Business Schools.
