WHO WE ARE
We have 215 Partners, Consultants and Coaches in 28 Countries throughout Europe, USA, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.
We provide consulting services, leadership development and executive coaching for C-Suite and senior leaders.
We have over 200,000 executive alumni from leadership development programmes which have been part of the core curriculum in many of the world's most prestigious corporate universities.
Our methodologies are based on experience gained from supporting more than 30 global business turnarounds in FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies.
Our core methodologies are Strategic Focusing® and the Oxford Leadership Development Programme.
Based on 20 years experience supporting more than 30 successful global business turnarounds, our approach to organisational transformation and leadership development involves strategic focusing and empowering leaders from the inside-out, at every level of the enterprise.
We have proven methodologies to align people with strategy.
- - 'Leading Yourself' is always the starting point for leading others.
- - Alignment, engagement and accountability are the keys to effective execution of strategy.
Helping leaders to focus and remain engaged when the context is constantly changing.
- - It goes beyond balanced scorecards & calibration software to align, engage and focus people on the few things that will make the biggest difference in their leadership and life and to the success of the enterprise.
- - It devolves decision-making to the lowest level possible and empowers leaders with the authority, competence, strategic-thinking and discernment to make good choices.
- - It develops the intuitive intelligence of leaders, improving their discrimination and judgement.
These capabilities are developed in the Oxford Leadership Development Programme.
We trace our roots to 1984 when Brian Bacon formed the consulting arm of a global US-based marketing agency. A management buy-out in 1990, and a tie-up with Oxford Research in 1996 preceded the formation of Oxford Leadership Academy in 2005.
Prior to its incorporation as Oxford Leadership Academy in the United Kingdom in 2005, the company was based in Hong Kong with operations in USA, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
OLA’s core methodology in organisational transformation was developed by Brian Bacon during the period 1989 – 1990. It was used in major global business turnarounds as well as in several governmental contexts such as for the Mexican, Australian and Swedish governments and in the post-Balkans conflict (strengthening the Stability Pact in South Eastern Europe).
In 2012, OLA was successfully incorporated into a global partnership with Partners, Fellows and Staff throughout Europe, USA, Latin America and Asia. We advise and partner with senior leaders at the levels of CEO and C-Suite as they execute strategy and develop next-generation leadership in their companies.
The Oxford Leadership Development Programme (OLDP) includes the Self Managing Leadership® (SML®), Leading High Performing Teams (LHPT) and Strategic Focusing® (SF) modules, which have had over 200,000 course participants since the early 1990s.
We believe that in today’s interconnected global society, a leader's responsibility is to ensure that business not only does well, but that it also does good.
We believe business leaders must make choices and decisions that reflect a sense of responsibility for the whole, not only their own narrow interests. As such, we are committed to developing leaders who transform business for good.
We help leaders to develop and act on a sense of purpose that extends beyond products, profits, politics and pride.
OLA Partners, Fellows and Staff are recruited, aligned and engaged with our core values:
- - Principled Pragmatism
- - Collaborative Partnership
- - Courageous Integrity
- - Spirit of Service
