Community of Practice news
In the last newsletter we announced that Oxford Leadership
Academy was launching online spaces for both OLA Fellows and
Alumni. This Community of Practice is now well and truly up and
running.
Fellows now have their own virtual meeting place, and over forty
colleagues from all around the world regularly make a point of
logging on to catch up on what their peers are doing and thinking.
Fellows are posting their views and comments on leadership issues,
on critical topics such as climate change and supporting young
leaders in developing countries, and on best practice for
facilitating OLA programmes. As the company expands, the Fellows'
community is fast developing into an important hub and think-tank
for global leadership practitioners.
One of the key tenets of our thinking is that leadership is all
about relationships, and about the conversations you have with
those around you; indeed, the conversation IS the
relationship. That's why participants on OLA
leadership development programmes the world over are now invited to
join the community as a matter of course. Alumni and other people
with an interest in leadership have also been logging on to their
dedicated Community spaces to share views and thoughts, and watch
and comment on thought-provoking videos posted by their peers.
