Senior Fellow
Lilian has been solving strategy, people and
team issues for senior leaders for more than 20 years. She focuses
on leadership, corporate governance, acquisition integration,
spin-offs, strategic alignment, organization design and
effectiveness, and culture change.
Lilian combines an acute understanding of business with
analytical assessments of human behavior. Her insights help clients
penetrate a company's challenges and find ways for its leadership
to solve them.
Previously, Lilian ran her own company leaderXchange, begun in
2004 to focus on strategy and leadership. She also was a senior
partner with Mercer Delta Consulting, formed when Marsh &
McLennan acquired Delta Consulting Group.
At Delta, Lilian advised CEOs on their change strategies,
start-ups and turn-arounds. She also consulted to new boards formed
in spin-offs and to existing boards, providing governance design,
assessment and succession planning.
Throughout her consulting career, Lilian has advised leaders in
complex organizational settings, including financial services, real
estate, large research and technically oriented companies. She also
was a Vice President of Citibank's US Consumer Banking Group, after
beginning her business career as a McKinsey consultant.
Lilian has worked with presidents, CEO's and their senior teams.
She has helped resolve organizational and family conflicts in a
large US/UK privately-held, commercial real estate business. She
also has guided the strategic plan and reorganization of the IT
department of a large quasi-government real-estate organization and
most recently has guided a residential real estate organization
through strategy and subsequent re-structuring.
The board of a publicly-traded financial services company
engaged Lilian to create a viable plan for succession of top
executives and to guide them through a board evaluation process to
satisfy Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
Born in London, Lilian is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom
and the United States. She graduated from Aberdeen University,
Scotland with a B.Sc., earned an MA in Education from New York
University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Lilian is
a Director and on the Board's Executive Committee of Prep for Prep,
a program for academically gifted minority students. Lilian is a
resident of Manhattan
