Cyril Legrand

Supervisory Board and International Faculty Board Member

 

Cyril has been a member of the Supervisory Board and the International Faculty Board since 2003. He is a high level consultant in strategic focusing and strategy execution to CEO's and an executive coach to senior executives of leading global organisations such as Telefonica, Akzo Nobel, Heineken, GE and BASF.

Cyril is one of the Academy's most experienced and sought after program leaders. He has co-delivered our core leadership program with Academy Founder Brian Bacon since 2001 and is co-creator of our popular  'Leading High Performing Teams' program. He is an alumnus and lecturer at Oxford Said Business School and HEC School of Management in Paris.
 
Prior to joining Oxford Leadership Academy™, Cyril  held senior management positions in the consumer-goods sector for over 20 years, mainly for French multinational Pernod Ricard. These roles included  marketing, key account management and business development across Europe and Asia, especially in China.
 
Cyril's skill in  'collaborative action based on collective wisdom' proved decisive during the 1997 financial crisis in Asia. He used these methods to  engage and align highly dispersed teams under his leadership in complex multicultural and multidisciplinary environments and succeeded in achieving  significant business turnaround through organisational transformation.
 
Building on these experiences, Cyril has become a global thought leader in the area of  people development as a competitive advantage for organisations.
 
Cyril is a former rugby player and lifelong student of karate and other eastern martial arts. He has also studied Yoga and has fully integrated reflective inquiry techniques into his personal and professional life.
 
Cyril teaches leadership from the inside-out with leading executive education institutions such as HEC School of Management Paris (EMBA programmes) or Nyenrode Business University (Netherlands).

He is a member of HEC Paris Mentoring/Coaching team which helps on a pro-bono basis young students to address critical personal and professional development issues.
 
He lives in Bordeaux with his wife and two children.
