Juan is Vice-Chair, Iberia and Senior
Fellow of the Oxford Leadership Academy™ in Spain, Lecturer at
ESADE Business School and member of the International Advisory
Board for the Oxford Said Business School. He serves as Senior
Consultant and Executive Coach.
Juan has been the founder and director of Telefonica's corporate
university from August 2006 until September 2010. As head of the
corporate university Juan has led the team that defined the
strategic model for the formation of the Telefónica Group's
management team and the implementation of the Campus "Universitas
Telefónica" in Barcelona.
Since joining Telefónica in 1997, he has served in various
positions of responsibility in several companies within the Group,
particularly in Telefonica Internacional (TISA), Atento,
Terra-Lycos and Telefonica España. In August 2006 he was appointed
Managing Director of the corporate university.
Prior to his appointment at Telefónica Juan developed a fifteen
years international banking career at BBVA and Banco Santander,
where he specialised in International capital markets and
transactional banking.
Juan holds a Law degree from the University of Barcelona, a PDG
from IESE, University of Navarra. He lives in Barcelona with his
wife Gloria and has three sons.
