Heiko Hutmacher is an Associate Fellow of Oxford Leadership Academy ™.  As an experienced facilitator, Heiko has supported businesses and teams around the globe in business strategy, change management and team effectiveness. His passion for working with leadership issues and self managed learning led to his association with the Oxford Leadership Academy.

Heiko is the Senior Vice President Human Resources at Akzo Nobel, based in Amsterdam. Akzo Nobel is the largest global paints and coatings company with more than 62,000 employees.

A German national, he joined Akzo Nobel in June 2004 from IBM where he held the position of Vice President of Human Resources for the IBM Global Services business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Paris. He has extensive experience and knowledge in international Human Resources management stemming from a career of more than 20 years in this field around the globe - spanning both industrial as well as services businesses.

Heiko was previously responsible for Human Resources strategy for IBM ́s Global Services business worldwide (Somers, USA, 2001), he led the Human Resources function for IBM in South East Asia (Singapore 1999 - 2000) and in South Africa (Johannesburg 1997 - 1998).

He provided Human Resources support for industry sales in IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa (Paris 1996). Previously, he held various managerial and professional positions in the Human Resources function of IBM Germany which he joined in 1984.

Heiko holds an MBA from Cologne University in Germany. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
