Inaugural SML held with Nyenrode Business Universiteit in the Netherlands
At the very end of October the first Self Managing Leadership® program to be held in partnership with leading Dutch business school Nyenrode Business Universiteit was held on their beautiful campus at Breukelen near Amsterdam.
The program brought together a number of senior business people and representatives of NGOs from the Netherlands and beyond who wanted to follow one of the world's most successful leadership development courses, a course which addresses personal as well as professional aspects of leadership vision, values and purpose.
I believe that each individual in the group will leave this course not only with a clear understanding of what they need to do - but also a path and resources to do it. I know I do!
Ravi Khanna, Head of Membership, MDU, UK
All the participants rated the program extremely highly. Out of a maximum of 5, the program in general was given a score of 4.7. When asked how relevant the experience had been to their roles as leaders within their own organisations, delegates accorded the program an average of 4.63.
Lizette Cohen, Program Manager at Nyenrode, was delighted with the outcome:
A clear program, a great opportunity for sharing with other participants. Very respectful and supportive facilitators.
Ralph Wildeman, Director of Compensation and Benefits at global paints giant Akzo Nobel summed up his experience powerfully and succinctly:
This is what the world needs!
This session of the SML™ was facilitated by Oxford Leadership Academy Fellows Heiko Hutmacher and Lasse Wrennmark. As Lasse remarked on OLA's Facebook page the day after his return to Sweden:
Back home after an SML at Nyenrode University in Holland. Fantastic group and a great teamwork together with Heiko and Lizette at the university.
This inaugural session promises well for future joint programs run by OLA and Nyenrode.
